| Of the players he have now, we have:
Human (Leukocyte, Phantom of the Opera) Metahuman (Saho Mange, Preagleopolis Signal, Agent 525600 Minutes, Zealot) Machine (Synapse) Animal (Neara) Mythical Animal (Fenrir, Behemoth) Giant Monster (O-Girl) Supernatural Creature (Seraphim, Vlad, Lillith)
I think people will be able to group themselves based on their powers. Some of the groups might be redundant.
I imagine Humans would have the lowest capability for Strength or Speed while Animals would have shit terrible Intelligence/Dexterity, but humans are going to have the highest Will (because fuck you) and animals might have the highest Wisdom/Perception.

| Since 10 is "average" and 20 is "peak", here are some things to help people imagine where their characters stand on your scale.
10 Strength: Able to bench own weight (?) 20 Strength: Able to bench ~1000 pounds/squat ~1200 pounds (Mariusz Pudzianowski) He weighs ~271 lbs.
10 Speed: Able to sprint at ~14 MPH (Avg walking speed is 3 - 4 MPH) 20 Speed: Able to sprint at ~23 MPH (Usain Bolt's Record)
10 Dexterity: You, right now probably 20 Dexterity: Olympic level gymnast, dancer, ice dancer or ninja. Alternatively, Batman.
10 Intelligence: IQ of 100, Literate, High School graduate and no college degree 20 Intelligence: IQ of 250 or so. (WIlliam James Sidis) I don't even know.
10 Wisdom: Hopefully you 20 Wisdom: Enlightened individual (i.e: Buddha) Above: wot
10 Endurance: You probably. Hard to say. 20 Endurance: Able to walk/run non-stop for 300 miles, etc
The rest are even harder to quantify than Wisdom and Endurance I don't even know about peak human intelligence either I'm using world record holders here

| After discussing it with Signal, here are some other benchmarks that might of use for this system:
0 or 5 Will: Clinically Depressed 10 Will: Able to achieve a relatively simple task, like finding the will to go to work or something 20 Will: Worthy enough to become a Green Lantern or someone like Cap Am who is perfect in every way Above: Telepaths, Trained Lantern Corps members, etc
10 Perception: Able to see the hidden meanings in some high school level book or something 20 Perception: Batman level detective work, Daredevil level Daredevilness Above: Toph from A:TLA when grounded, etc
I cannot think of a way to quantify Vitality aside from how many calories you can burn by doing x action. It could be a stat in the sense that 10 Vitality means burning 2800 on an average day but that makes things get dull real fast.
If anything the existence of a Vitality stat would be akin to an MP gauge that can go up when recharging (eating, sleeping, using a power that does that, most of those are boring) or down when doing anything until 0 means you pass out. I'm not sure how much I like that.

>MP Gauge Honestly, that was sort of the idea... Just to give the idea that a person just can't repeatedly use the maximum amount of their ability without getting tired.

| well, I didn'tmean those as-is
like Wisdom is very hard to quantify if 20 is Enlightenment then 30 would be omniscience or something

| Testing out a drop in the ability pool from 180 to 135, to reflect that most people are going to be above average, not exactly peak.
Spend 135 in the following to detail your character
Beta Boy Meta-Human Astral Projection
Strength: 10 Speed: 10 Dexterity: 15
Intelligence: 20 Wisdom: 20 Perception: 20
Endurance: 15 Will: 15 Energy: 10
Spend 90 in the following to detail the powers of your character
Strength Endurance 20 (Long Story) Energy/Vitality
Speed Dexterity
Intelligence 20 Perception 35 Will 15
Energy Projection
I think that better reflects Beta Boy.
I rike it.

| He's an idea What about this:
Optional:
Humans Add up to 24 points to Will and/or Dexterity Subtract half of what you added (up to 10) from Strength, Wisdom or Perception
Metahumans Add up to 28 points to Strength, Speed, Endurance Subtract half from Will and/or Dexterity
Animals Add up to 24 points to Perception, Strength, Speed Subtract half from Intelligence, Dexterity, Will, Speed and/or Strength
Machines Add up to 24 points to Intelligence, Endurance or Strength Subtract half from Wisdom and/or Speed
Supernatural (Ghosts, Angels, Demons, etc) Add up to 24 points to Intelligence, Wisdom or Willpower Subtract half from Dexterity, Energy or Speed
This accounts for different races having different strengths. This more or less gives people 12 additional points to work with while metahumans get 14 because fuck you.
Humans get extra Will/Dex for ingenuity and creativity Superhumans get extra points for their probable powers Animals are more in tune with nature and can sense supernatural activity. Can add to Speed or Strength if you're an ostrich or something Machines get Int for their AIs and Strength/Endurance because science Supernaturals are ageless and have higher mental stats

Intelligence: 12 Wisdom: 12 Perception: 15
Endurance: 20 Will: 25 Vitality: 20

Endurance: 15 (+9) Will: 22 Energy: 10

| So, should characters who create constructs (e.g. Green Lantern, Sugar Shock) use the 135 points available for characters or the 90 points for powers?
I imagine that say, GL would put all his Power Points into Will and come up with different stats for his constructs.

I imagine that say, GL would put all his Power Points into Will and come up with different stats for his constructs. Character stats can be and most likely are independent of the power stat. Constructors like that would put all of their power points into Energy Projection. The beautiful thing about energy projection is that if you can control it you can pretty much do anything. Like make a giant punchy fist or propel yourself at mach 5.

| Well, after receiving tons of shit... How about a ranking system? It removes that cumbersome limit of fairness.
Strength: Speed: Dexterity:
Intelligence: Wisdom: Perception:
Endurance: Will: Energy/Vitality:
Energy Projection:
GUIDE
10 is average human.
15 is above average.
20 is peak human.
21+ is super-human
30 is Zealot. | |
