On the southern tip of Africa exists a town dominated by a dictator.
This comes as a surprise to most people, as the citizens of this town were known to be quite rebellious in the past.

How did this city come under such heavy control then? It seemed that in the town’s attempt to shift into democracy, some of the new leaders fell into line with some bad men. Or, one person exactly. But political power wasn’t enough to rule these people, as previously demonstrated, but it seems that the one calling the shots realized this.

Because of this, the streets of the city are patrolled by a vast army of robotic soldiers. Yeah, that would do it. Of course the spirit of rebellion is still high, but the capability of the people to achieve the means they desire is not adequate. The patrol droids are heavily equipped and possess the equipment and algorithms to detect high levels of energy, the usual warning sign for supers.

In this mostly semi-arid land, this city was in a rather lush location near the coast, making it a valuable landscape to control, no doubt one of the driving forces behind the dictator’s conquest, as once in power the dictator began to reroute those resources. The town was starting to notably suffer as upkeep of the city began to decline and more and more areas turned to slums, leaving more and more people in desperation.

The situation was dire.

At dusk, at the center of town, atop a highly erected building, at the edge of a balcony, there stood a man. His arms rested against the railing of the balcony, his hazel eyes looking over the town as the updraft from below blew his sandy blonde locks to and fro, along with the smoke from his cigarette. By the expression on his face, eyes tightened in and lips squished firmly against is cigarette, it was easy to tell that he didn’t like the condition it was in. He seemed to be contemplating it too, nearly gnawing at the butt of the cigarette until suddenly the glass door behind him slid open.

“Our leader will see you now, Mr. Rousseau.” Said the dark skinned man standing at the door, dressed in a suit and holding a clipboard. The one on the balcony slowly turned his head back to look to him, his eyes suggesting that he was still distracted by his thoughts. He turned to face the edge of the balcony, spitting out his cigarette before turning around to head inside slowly. The twisted and gnawed cigarette floated down along the side of the building before the wind carried it off.

Elsewhere, on the southern end of town, near the coast, a gang of three of the robot enforcers traveled on foot through the darker alleyways of the buildings. Flashlights protruding from their shoulders shone along the walls, searching along the alley and down along the ground as another set simply marched along the street behind them, walking past. The ones in the alley appeared to be searching for something.

Farther down, at the coast, a few men, poorly dressed and terribly unshaven, sat at the edge of the old docks, fishing lines cast out into the water. Down along the coast line there were plenty of other fishermen, hoping to catch dinner. A few robots flew overhead, not stopping as they found nothing of interest here.

Up on the Eastern end of the island, beneath the rubble of the old police station, down a few hundred yards where the robots couldn’t detect them, a small group of people gathered, staring at a map of the island, their dark, dank room filled with crates, a few straps of ammo hanging out of one. Up above, a couple of children laughed and played about in the rubble, making toys out of anything they could find.
“Pew pew pew.” One of the children imitated before PEUWM. PEUWM. Rabble erupted from the ground, sending two kids flying and landing a few feet away from the smoking hole in the ground. A robot floating overhead with the gun protruding from its arm, aimed down at the ground fired a few warning shots. It didn’t seem like they wanted people hanging around this area.

Huddle up tightly against an alley wall sat Teleza, shoulders drawn in with her hands lifted up in front of her, keeping her gun steady and at the ready. She was hiding behind a trashcan, hoping and praying that these mechanical soldiers didn't have any heat detecting gear. Just in case she had her hood drawn over her head and was remaining as still as possible, letting her stealth based clothing keep her hidden for the moment. She knew that they could detect high end energy signatures for sure, so she kept her gear off for the moment.

This wasn't exactly a warm welcome back to her homeland, but it was what she was here for, to spread a little bit of American freedom and justice.

The group of robots stood motionless for a while as if they saw nothing in the alley, quietly observing the tight, dark alley way. Maybe they didn't see her?

PEW PEW CHING PEW CHING CHING.

Their bullets ricocheted off the walls and trashcan as they fired wildly in the alley. Turns out they did see her and were shooting with extreme prejudice. The trash can was quickly beginning to fall over and apart. It wouldn't be cover for much longer.

Their bullet based weapons were located on the tops of their left wrists which they lifted to aim at their target. It was hard to tell how they detected her, but at least it seemed like it took them a while to do so.

"Did they see me?" She thought to herself.

PEW PEW CHING PEW CHING CHING.

"Yes...yes they did..." She said before bracing herself and quickly standing up to her feet, turning around to face them, and aiming her gun towards them in one smooth, her coat still swaying from the motion as she took her first shot, aimed at the robot standing in the front, right at that gun mounted on its arm.

Hopefully before they had the time to aim once again she continued her motion to the side and hit the opposite alley wall, pressing her feet against it to press and jump off of it and to the other wall. As she went from that wall back to the other with another leap she sent another shot their way, not so meticulous with the aim of that one as she was busy trying to get out of there and up to the roof.
