Oh look, Symbol Magic is actually a thing.


Virgie's magic is generally formless; the only constant ability it grants passively is her agelessness coupled with eternal youth. In order for her to use the full potential of her magic, she channels her magic through symbols. This channeling follows a few rules:

1. A symbol must be associated with a particular deity, e.g. if a symbol (♇) is associated with a god of death, anything that symbol touches dies.
   
2. The magic of the symbol will act different depending on where it is placed, e.g. if placed on the heart, a person may die of cardiac arrest; if placed on the head, a person may die of a malignant brain tumor.
   
3. Additional abilities or effects may be used with certain symbols, e.g. ♇ causing decay as well as death; for this to be done, though, one must focus on the intention of casting that spell. Additionally, intentions must fall within the power of the deity or power associated with that symbol (if you were looking for riches of the earth using ♇ you'd need to attach that symbol to whatever can detect it and its abilities will be enhanced).
   
4. A cast symbol will never harm its caster unless it is specifically cast on the caster.
   
5. For a symbol to be associated with something, it must be well-recognized as being associated to something, such as a power or concept (e.g. Mars' commonly associated symbol is ♂ so using ♂ on objects or people may result in granting boons or effects related to things such as fire, war prowess, etc.).
   
6. Pop culture symbols can also be used IF they have a well-known associated effect (e.g. the 'Eye' Sigil uses is based on the Eye of the Crimson King and can be used to watch others).
   
7. Once a symbol loses their meaning, so does the magic tied to it.
   
8. A symbol cannot be repeatedly cast for the same purpose twice or more in a row (e.g. using ♃ to create thunderstorms).
   
9. Casting multiple symbols at once or casting repeatedly at a certain pace will slowly drain magic and, after this is one, the caster has to recharge.
   
10. If too much magic is used, the caster passes out and is forced to recover.

Signal, being a vampire, has a few new powers alongside a bunch of weaknesses. To list them off:

• Signal now has more natural stamina. Without using her powers, she can run, jump, fight, and even fly longer than normal. Speaking of which,
  
• She can now fly without the aid of her telekinesis; before, she had to "carry herself" and it's a very tiring thing to do.
  
• Signal has a mild/weaker form of Valencruz' domination powers, known as "suggestion/persuasion." Unlike domination, suggestion/persuasion can be fought off if the character has enough willpower and it's not as easy/difficult to use it on those with mental issues.
  
• As her body is dead, Signal can more easily use electricity and radiation as weapons; but due to being a vampire, fire is now doubly painful.
  
• Vampires may or may not be associated with Telekinesis so Signal's own telekinesis may be more refined.
  
• All five of her senses are enhanced.
  
• Signal now relies on people more than ever: to fuel her psionic abilities AND to provide blood, if only with blood banks as the middle man, for nourishment.
  
• Of course, she also comes with the Stock Vampire Weaknesses: garlic, the sun, holy water, and faith (essentially, crosses by themselves don't harm her).

Any questions?

If She uses a symbol with multiple meanings such as the death symbol referenced earlier will it be only used for the intended effect or will the other meanings affect it. For example Pluto (the symbol of death) references both the underworld (death) and riches of the earth. Or is it intended use only where the symbol placed could either cause death or be a blessing of riches.

The symbol will use the effect it is most associated with, in this case death. For Sigil to locate riches of the earth with it, she'd need to either focus on redirecting the magic into that skill or to attach the symbol to something associated with finding such things like a metal detector. Again, the effect is determined by where the symbol is placed.
